How to add a TS3 license key on a TS3 server running via Synology NAS

Tried drag & dropping the license key (.dat) file using WinSCP but a message pops up (Permission Denied). I can't CMOD the TS folder to a writable one as it wont allow me. I was able to login successfully via Putty using server query admin name+password but don't have a clue on what to do next.... How to add a TS3 license key on a TS3 server running via Synology NAS
