client disconnects when too many users in channel

*_helping a friend out_* from what i understand and have seen is his client is kicking him when 3 or ore people are in the same channel as he is, not instantly but after a few moments. i had thought it might be due to his internet not being fast enough but after looking at his u/l speed and the... client disconnects when too many users in channel
