Client does not always complete SRV lookup before connecting (race condition?)

Hi there, I'm trying to track down a problem reported by our clients. We have both SRV and TSDNS running, but clients perpetually still fail to connect on a regular basis. It seems that sometimes clients simply perform the straight DNS lookup first (assuming there is an A record for the server... Client does not always complete SRV lookup before connecting (race condition?)
