iPad 3 teamspeak will not use headset mic

I've been using the teamspeak 3 IOS app and I have just realized that the app is not using my headset mic, but is using the integrated iPad mic. It detects the headset that is plugged in since when i pop it in, the voice activation level changes, though still using the integrated mic. I have... iPad 3 teamspeak will not use headset mic
