All sounds being broadcast over ts3 even when mic is swtiched off on headset

I have a new PC it is a high end build and has an Asus maximus VIII Hero motherboard and has a realtek sound chip i have the latest driver installed and the os is Win 7 SP1 X64 ultimate the headset is a steel series , and worked fine on older pc,running xp I have tried re installing ts3... All sounds being broadcast over ts3 even when mic is swtiched off on headset
